Breaking From Religious Bondage

Wrong-believing puts us in bondage because it causes us to live wrong. We make the mistake of focusing on living right without paying attention to believing right. Jesus accepts us as we are, regardless of the emotional baggage we may be dragging around with us; but His intention is to transform us. When we are born again and become a new creation, the old self dies. We put on a new self, created in righteousness and holiness. We receive an entirely new nature that perfectly reflects God’s nature.
